scavenger hunt
Scavenger hunt will make you see the things around you in a whole new way! Take a hike with our Outdoor Scavenger Hike. How many items can you find?!
1supplies
You need:
-
paper and pen
-
2+ players (players can all be at the same place or someone you can communicate with over the phone or computer)

Game preparation:
Make a deck of around 30 cards describing things you find around you. Examples:

Something that touches your teeth
-
Something the color orange
-
Something shiny
-
Something wet
-
Something that starts with the letter... (A-Z)

Playing the game:
Put all your cards in a deck and gather players to a "home base" table.

Rules
Deal out five cards to each player. Set your timer for two minutes. When you say "Go!" everyone scatters around the home to gather items that match their card. Players must be able to carry everything in their arms and place them on the home base table by the time the timer goes off. Once the timer's gone off and everyone's returned to home base, players review and put to memory what was gathered. Each player gets one point for each item them successfully gathered.

Rounds of Play
Shuffle the cards and deal out 5 cards per person and let the hunt begin. The same items cannot be gathered to meet card prompts from previous rounds. For instance, if one player brought a toothbrush in Round 1 in response to "Something that touches your teeth" the next player who gets the same card needs to bring something other than a toothbrush, like a spoon.

Game ends after 4 rounds (or as many as you want). The player with the most objects delivered to the table wins.

For a challenge, increase the number of cards and decrease the time allowed to gather the items.
