Life is filled with so much activity and excitement, which can be great, but sometimes it's nice to take a moment to stop, relax and let go of all the stress and fatigue that can build up.
Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lay down. Enjoy the stillness of removing yourself from the fast pace of life. Can you transport yourself to the lake? Imagine the cool ground between your toes, the smell of wild flowers, and damp plants and trees, the sound of the water rippling, bugs buzzing, birds calling, and frogs croaking.
Maybe you haven't been to a lake but you've been to a beach or a river. Or think of your favorite place or people and imagine you are there with them. Try closing your eyes to imagine them more clearly.
Breathe in deeply and when you breathe out imagine stress and worries are leaving your body. Sometimes in quiet times like this, emotions can pop up unexpectedly and that's okay. For the moment, let them be.
When you're ready, open your eyes, stretch up your arms, and rotate your body from side to side. Acknowledge how lucky you are to be you in this moment.
