Let's MEDITATE

Life is filled with so much activity and excitement, which can be great, but sometimes it's nice to take a moment to stop, relax and let go of all the stress and fatigue that can build up.

BIG SUR FOREST

  • Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lay down. Enjoy the stillness of removing yourself from the fast pace of life.

  • Where do you go to relax mentally and physically?

  • For some people, it's as simple as time in the shower or bathtub!

  • If you'd like, you can share with us a similar moment.

Be transported to a majestic coastal redwood forest along the pristine Big Sur River. Listen for the call of the forest birds and the soft bubbling of river that gently flows past giant 1,200 year old redwoods. Imagine the scent of the redwoods, the crunching sound of pine needles under foot, and the refreshing tingle of the cool water flowing around your ankles as venture in. Here you can find the perfect skipping stone. Imagine how it will skip over river's surface, carrying with it the stress of your day.

Maybe you've experienced a place like this before. Close your eyes and recall your experience. Breathe in deeply and when you breathe out imagine stress and worries are leaving your body, flowing like this gentle river. Sometimes in quiet times like this, emotions can pop up unexpectedly and that's okay. For the moment, let them be.

When you're ready, open your eyes, stretch up your arms, and rotate your body from side to side. Acknowledge how lucky you are to be you in this moment.
