4th of July

U.S. Flag.jpg

Commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United States on July 4, 1776, Independence Day is a federal holiday that celebrates unity, freedom and independence: "All men are created equal and they are endowed with the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." How are you celebrating the day?!

DID YOU KNOW?

  • The bald eagle has been the national emblem of the United States since 1782.

  • They can reach speeds up to 100 mph when diving, using their powerful talons to swoop up prey.

  • At around 4-5 years old, bald eagles will choose a mating partner through a complex courtship procedure. Once coupled, the two birds will mate for life. Awwww!
