MAGIC SQUARES

The goal of this puzzle is to place a number in each cell so that the sum of any row, column or corner-to-corner diagonal in the square is the same. Magic squares can be traced as far back as 2800 B.C. in Chinese literature.

GOAL

The goal of magic squares is to place numbers in the grid spots so that the sum of each row, column, and corner-to-corner diagonal is the same number.

stEPS

  1. Beginners usually start with 3x3 magic squares and then work up to larger squares.

  2. Spend time reviewing the numbers in the square. See if you can determine if there's a row with enough information to determine how to fill in a location with a number, and then move on in placing other numbers. Trial and error help  determine the solution so be patient and try different things.
